The legendary Aligarh Muslim University has given Aligarh city an identity of a 'forward looking' and 'educationally aware' city. In all these years of its existence, it never compromised on the quality of education and provided an unmatched learning atmosphere to its pupils.

Aligarh had a great discrepancy in the educational arena. On one hand, it had a world class educational institution to provide higher education, while on the other hand there was no institution to provide quality education to the students of primary and secondary classes. It was a dream fulfilled for the people of Aligarh who can now be proud of the institution which is shaping their children's lives by providing world class education to them.

DPS Aligarh has been established in 1998 to fulfill the needs of the city's children for a centre of world class education. It is a co-educational day cum boarding school, with three different campuses Junior Wing Agra Road, Junior Wing Civil Lines and the Senior Wing.

The Education is a life long process but it must develop firm foundations. The goal of a school is to enroll students with love of learning and inculcate in them a desire excel at every level. The aim is also to equip them with the intellectual and practical skills necessary to meet the challenges inherent in the future. Alongside intellectual nourishment, it inculcates in the student a strong sense of nationalism, appreciation of Indian art and culture, and pride of our glorious past and rich heritage.

The school's 3 phases of construction is over and last phase is in the pipeline where a swimming pool will be constructed. It is already affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). 'Service Before Self' is our school motto, which is a vivid reflection of the mettle that goes into making of an institution or organisation. Our motto is a constant reminder that the welfare and safety of others always comes prior to our own welfare, comfort and safety.
