The student council members sworn for their duties and responsibilities in the Investiture Ceremonys held on 8th august 2019 in DPS Aligarh in which the student council members were donned with sashes and badges in the school library. Mr. Abhishek Kumar, SP City Aligarh was invited to honour the occasion with his glorious presence as the chief guest. Prof. Syed Amjad Rizwi from J.N. Medical College Aligarh was also invited as Guest of honour to glorify the ceremony with his benign presence. The programme was started with the ceremonial lamp lighting. The choir group of the school presented the welcome song and was applauded by the audience. The invited parents as well as the guests appreciated the dance performance of the students who spellbound the audience with their fabulous dance wrapped in the energy of the participants along with the synchronization noticed throughout the performance. Mr. Abhishek Kumar, the chief guest appreciated the march past of the students and he added that it reminded him of his training days as an I.P.S. He congratulated the children for their achievements and also gave emphasis on the duties associated with the respective posts of all the members. Mr. Swapnil Jain, the Pro. Vice Chairman of the school suggested all the students’ council members to remember their duties so as to set a good example for the rest of the students of the school. The students took the oath for bearing their duties and responsibilities throughout the session.
Mrs. Aarti Nigam, principal, DPS Aligarh congratulated the children and thanked all the guests for their presence. Vaishali Tiwari and Shubh Chadda were honoured with the title of Head Girl and Head Boy respectively. While Ashwani Pratap Singh and Palak Andhiwal took the pledge for holding their responsibilities as President boy and President girl respectively.
All the members came to the stage as per their turn and were donned with their badges and sashes by the chief guest and the guest of honour.
The scholar badge ceremony was held in DPS Aligarh in three phases in which 91 students were awarded with certificates of scholar in the first phase on 20th August 2019. The ceremony started with the ceremonial lamp lighting by Mrs. Aartee Nigam, principal of the school escorted by Mr. Chandra Shekhar, vice principal and Mr. Brij Mohan, Administrative officer. Shre Shtha Pandey delivered the welcome speech. It was followed by welcome song presented by the choir of DPS Aligarh. Master Pranav Jain and Gunjan Yadav hosted the event. Mr. Brij Mohan and Mr Chandra Shekhar felicitated the first group in joint venture. A very soothing dance performance spellbound the audience and was applauded by the invited parents, teachers and students. The last group of 41 students was felicitated by Mrs. Aartee Nugam, principal of the school. Mrs. Nigam addressed the audience and congratulated the students for their achievements. She also encouraged the students as well as their parents for their consistent efforts behind the show.
Vaishali Tiwari proposed the vote thanks. The programme ended with the singing of national anthem by all.
The day was acknowledged by awarding the scholars of 2nd year, 3rd year and 4th year. It really infused them with fresh aspirations and cravings to touch the new heights. The Chief Guest of the ceremony was the Principal of the school Ms Aarti Nigam and the Vice-Principal Mr Chandra Shekhar Sharma. The ceremony began with the watering of the plants by the chief guest. Then Mariam, the student of class XI D, gave welcome address. The school choir presented a welcome a song for the dearest guests. The Vice-Principal awarded the scholars of 2nd year. It was followed by a dance performance by the school dancers who almost filled the whole audience with the feeling of patriotism. After the dance performance, the Principal of the school Ms Aarti Nigam honoured the scholars of 3rd and 4th year and in her speech she congratulated the students for their achievements and motivated others to come up. The Vice-Head Boy of the school cast a vote of thanks. The ceremony ended with the national anthem.
Scholar Badge ceremony was celebrated at Delhi Public School, Sr. Wing Agra Road, Aligarh in which 105 meritorious students were awarded with Scholar Badges, Trophies and certificates for the session 2018-19. The Chief Guest of the Occasion, Mr. KVSM Krishna, Vice Chancellor, Mangalayatan University Aligarh was accorded a warm welcome by Ms. Aarti Nigam, Principal, Delhi Public School Aligarh.
The Chief Guest awarded the toppers of class XII, 2018-19, Vrinda Singh, Aditya Kumar Singh, and Ayushi Agrawal with a special Golden Trophy. 10 Scholars were awarded with a special golden trophy for the highest percentage of attendance in school. 9 students were awarded with a golden trophy for their excellent achievements in sports. One meritorious student, Aditya Kumar Singh who claimed the coveted scholar’s Chairman’s Trophy along with certificate and 15 scholars received the scholar badge for consecutive nine year, were awarded with a Merit Certificate and a Golden Trophy. 25 students were awarded with a Merit Certificate and a Silver Trophy for winning the Scholar Badge for the eighth consecutive year. 16 students were awarded with the prestigious Bronze Trophy with a certificate for the seven consecutive year and 17 students were awarded with an academic star and a gold medal for the six consecutive year. 9 Scholar Badge winners for the fifth consecutive year, were awarded with a Silver Medal.
The programme concluded with the blessings of the Chief Guest, Mr. KVSM Krishna who expressed his happiness on seeing the performance of the students and wished that students would take Delhi Public School Aligarh to a mile stone.
Mrs. Aarti Nigam, Principal, DPS Sr. Wing, Aligarh, expressed her views saying that as a strong foundation builds a strong building likewise the best education develops a child completely. She wished the students to successfully attain their career goals and lead a successful life.
The programme ended with the National Anthem.
We must treasure the achievers of our land because its they who raise the sights of all others.
Delhi Public School, Aligarh is proud to have such achievers to treasure, and it is sports this time to give this honor to school name. For being a sports person a lot of hard work, motivation, dedication and efforts are required but to shape a great sports man there is something more essential and that is the guidance; the guidance to follow correct and most effectual path to reach the objectives and goal of one.

Chaudhary Palendra Kumar-Joined Delhi Public School in 2016 in Class XI
- Participated in the Senior State Athletics Meet, Aligarh and bagged a gold medal in Long Jump and silver medal in 100 metre.
- He was bestowed the Captainship of Uttar Pradesh Athletic team and participated in the National Youth Championship at Calicut University, Kerela in the year 2016
- Participated in the Open State Athletics Meet, Lucknow in 2016 and was awarded a Gold Medal in 100 mtr and Silver Medal in Long- Jump.
- Participated in the Inter DPS National Athletics Meet (BOYS) 2016 at DPS, Meerut and was successful in bagging a gold medal in 100 and 200 mtr.
- He won a gold medal in 100 m and Long Jump at Open State Athletics Meet, New Delhi in the year 2017.
- He was selected for India camp for the preparation of Olympics, 2020 and subsequently got selected to participate in the 2nd Asian Athletics Championship 2017 at Bangkok (21-23 May 2017), Youth World Championship at Bahamas from 12-17 July 2017 and shall also participate in the Youth Commonwealth 2017 at Kenya.
