Indian International Model United National (IIMUN) Aligarh Chapter Conference Aligarh from 27th January 2017to 29th January 2017 was declared open by the Secretary General, Mr. Manav Bhowmick, in the lush green campus of Delhi Public School Aligarh Senior Wing on Friday, 27th January 2017. The evening began with the National Anthem. After the ceremonial lamp lighting, the Director General, IIMUN, Mr. Devansh Garg highlighted that IIMUN always aims at making this world a global village and the person a global citizen. On this occasion, Mrs. Pallavi Upadhyaya, Principal, Delhi Public School, Aligarh shared her views that there is no more a noble profession than shaping the minds and thoughts of the future of our nation. IIMUN is a platform to voice the opinions of students from each and every nook and cranny of the country.

The Secretary General, Mr. Manav Bhowmick highlighted that IIMUN means to educate India, spread Model UN across the country and prepare the next set of leaders of the country. He articulated his thanks to the Principal, DPS Aligarh for providing the beautiful campus to host the conference in and for being of so much support.

Indian International MUN Aligarh Chapter Conference was declared close by the Secretary General, Mr Manav Bhowmik in the striking campus of Delhi Public School Sr. Wing Aligarh on January 29, 2017. The evening began with the National Anthem. The Director General MUN, Mr.DevanshGarg highlighted the efforts and involvement of students. He appreciated the enthusiasm and zeal of participants which made conference a big success.

Schools naming Three Dots School, The Blossom School, Brilliant Public School, DPS World School, Khair, DPS Hathras, DPS Civil Lines, DPS Aligarh and many individuals were the participants in this conference.

The Executive Board members Lok Sabha (LS) – Naman Jain and Ananya Vashishtha, International Labour Organisation (ILO) – Rishabh Singh and Vibhuthi Bhardwaj, International Press (IP) – Manav Bhowmik and United Nations Security Council (UNSC) – Deepansh Jain and Akshat Gupta announced the names of the winners.
In Lok Sabha the Best Delegate Award was bagged by Aniket Garg, High Commendation Award by Eakanch Jain and Special Mention by Aadish Jain.

In ILO the Best Delegate Award was given to Afif Khan, High Commendation Award to Shagun Maheshwari and Special Mention Award was given to Aseem Agarwal.

In IP the Best Photographer Award was bagged by Mohammad Anas and the Best Journalist Award was secured by Sheetal Chaudhary.

In UNSC the Best Delegate Award was obtained by Affan Shikoh and Mohd Haris Khan, High Commendation Award by Jasmine Qamar and Harshvardhan Singh and Special Mention Award was bagged Deeksha Kulshreshtha and Aamod Nayyer

The Secretary General, Mr.Manav Bhowmik bequeathed the deserving students with accolades. Mr. Brij Mohan, Administrative Officer, Mr. Sarvesh Sharma, Academic Coordinator and Ms. Rajni Gupta, Event Coordinator, DPS Aligarh received theBest Delegation Trophy for DPS Aligarh as winner school in this conference.

On this occasion Mr.Sarvesh Sharma, Academic coordinator, Delhi Public School blessed the ceremony with his precious words of wisdom.Then a speech on Charge D’ Affairs was given by Ms. Nivedya Suhas, followed by a Video Presentation on the fantastic work of delegates in those three days conference.
