Indian International Model United Nations (IIMUN) Aligarh 2018 Chapter-2 was declared open by Ms. Arushi Singhi, the Secretary General, in the beautiful campus of Delhi Public School Aligarh Senior Wing on Friday 2nd February, 2018. The event began with the National Anthem. It was followed by auspicious Lamp Lighting Ceremony. Gunjan Yadav welcomed the galaxy of intellectuals. The Chief Guest of the event was Shri. Gyanendra Mishra, the President, Udaan Society Aligarh.
A beautiful dance presentation in the form of Guru Vandana spellbound the audience. Ms. Riddhi Thakur, Director General of IIMUN Aligarh gave an inspirational speech to all the participants. She highlighted that IIMUN means to educate India, spread Model UN across the country and ready the next set of leaders of the country. Ms. Arushi Singhi, the Secretary General IIMUN, highlighted that IIMUN always aims at making this world a Global village and the person a global citizen. Ms. Arushi Singhi, Secretary General of IIMUN Aligarh felicitated Mrs.Rashmi Grover, the Principal DPS Aligarh by giving her memento for veneration and reverence. She expressed her thanks to the Principal, DPS Aligarh for providing the dazzling campus to host the conference in and for her constant cooperation.

On this occasion, Mr, Sharad Agrawal, Vice Principal, Delhi Public School, Aligarh shared his views that there is no more a noble profession than shaping the minds and thoughts of the future of our nation. The Opening Ceremony culminated by declaring the Conference Open by Ms. Arushi Singhi, the Secretary General.
The three- daylong conference culminated with great pomp and show. 130 students from different schools participated and they were divided into four committees, Lok Sabha, WHO, UN Security Council, International Press. Mr. Gyanendra Mishra, the President of UDAAN society was the Chief Guest who appreciated the efforts of the students for their enthusiastic performances. Shrestha Pandey welcomed the Chief Guest through her empowering words.
The deserving students were bequeathed with accolades by the members of respective Executive Board. Best Delegates from UNSC were Shubh Singhal and Kavya Jadoun and won Gold Medals, Tushar Dixit and Deeksha Kulshreshtha won Silver Medals for High Commendations and Nandini Arora and Muskan Agrawal won Bronze Medal for Special Mentions.
Lok Sabha Executive Board awarded Mansi Jain with Gold Medal as the Best Delegate, Himanshu Chaudhary won Silver Medal for High Commendation and Kavya Agrawal won Bronze Medal for Special Mention.
WHO Executive Board awarded Ayushi Agrawal with Gold Medal as the Best Delegate, Shrestha Pandey won Silver Medal for High Commendation and Tanvi Mishra won Bronze Medal for Special Mentions.
International Press Executive Board announced Mohd. Anas as the Best Photographer and Nandini Mittal as the Best Reporter of the conference.
Mrs. Rashmi Grover, the Principal DPS Aligarh, Mr. Sharad Agrawal, Vice Principal, Mr. Brij Mohan, Administrative Officer, and Ms. Rajni Gupta, Event Coordinator, DPS Senior Wing received the Trophy for DPS Aligarh as Winner School in this conference.
At this juncture Mrs. Rashmi Grover, the Principal DPS Aligarh encouraged the students with her felicitous words and congratulated the winners. At last vote of thanks was casted by Devanshi Yadav, Head Girl, DPS Aligarh.
Indian International MUN Aligarh Chapter Conference was declared closed by the Secretary General, Mr Manov Bhowmik in the striking campus of Delhi Public School Sr. Wing Aligarh on January 29, 2017. The evening began with the National Anthem. The Director General MUN, Mr. Devansh Garg highlighted the efforts and involvement of students. He appreciated the enthusiasm and zeal of participants which made conference a big success. On this occasion Mr. Sarvesh Sharma, Academic coordinator, Delhi Public School blessed the ceremony with his valuable words. Then a speech on charged affairs was given by Ms Nivedya Suhas, followed by a video presentation of the fantastic work of participants in those three days conference. In his speech the Secretary General, Mr. Manov Bhowmik highlighted that IIMUN means to educate India, spread Model UN across the country and ready the next set of leaders of the country. He then bequeathed the deserving students with accolades. Mr. Brij Mohan, Administrative Officer, Mr. Sarvesh Sharma, Academic Coordinator and Ms. Rajni Gupta, Event Coordinator, DPS Sr. wing received the trophy for DPS Aligarh as winner school in this conference. Sunanda Chaturvedi welcomed the galaxy of intellectuals and vote of thanks was expressed by Vibhuthi Bhardwaj, the Head Girl of DPS Aligarh.
