The concept of comprehensive and continuous school based Evaluation has thus emerged as the rectification of the aforesaid shortcoming by presenting the result of the assessment of internal and external independently and thereby making transparency for the public to see.
It includes both continuous and periodical evaluation
The periodical evaluations are taken monthly, quarterly, half yearly and annually. It attempts to cover even those areas of personality which are not possible to be covered by the external examination. (The non scholastic areas).
The main purpose of evaluation is diagnosing the strengths and weaknesses of the students for providing necessary reinforcements by way of remedial, enrichment inputs for enabling an optimum level of growth among pupils. |
