Enact a Character Competition was held in Delhi Public School Civil Lines Aligarh on 18.4.12 in which the rising stars of Class-I keenly participated with full zeal and enthusiasm.
Their confidence level knew no bounds. The little students spoke with full confidence in fluent English. The walls of the auditorium were filled with the loud applauses for the little actors.
The competition turned out to be a great success and helped a lot in boosting up the confidence level and morale of the students.

It has been our sincere endeavour to create avenues to encourage children with free thinking and creativity.So, today there was a Colouring Competition for our little masters of Nursery and Prep in which they showed their thinking and creativity. It looked like” little minds are at work”.
With a spirit of exploring creativity and gusto courageous inventors of Class II and ecofriendly angles of Class III participated in Origami Competition. They transformed their imagination by folding the coloured papers into varied shapes to the best of their abilities. They were all in a jubilant state and experience the elation of having grown by a class. The students participated with full delight and poured in their immense efforts on this form of art and made beautiful things. In a stress free environment they constructed their own ideas. They have enjoyed during the competition and showed their hidden talents on the paper.
These types of competitions will promote the creativity of the students and will continue to enthrall, empower and encourage them to learn and explore themselves to their best.

| The Report of Intra-Class Competitions held in the month of April 2012 |
As our organization is known to enhance and enrich the students with various skills to refine them, Delhi Public School Aligarh, Civil Lines has organized English Handwriting Competition for Class IV, Hindi Handwriting for Class V and English /Hindi poetry recitation for Class VII.
All the children of Class IV and V have showed best of their penmanship, making it difficult for the judges to choose the jewel of the crown. All the letters of Devnagri lipi were inscribed perfectly in each and every child`s paper.
Class VII students also participated with great enthusiasm and zeal. Most of the students performed extraordinarily well in both Hindi and English Recitation Competition.
So, for making the students better personalities, we work and allow our young boys and girls to prepare themselves for this great task which is seemingly an I M POSSIBLE task.

| The Report of Intra-Class Competitions held on 1stFebruary2012 |
To inculcate the sprit of knowledge, memory and expression an Intra Class English Recitation Competition was held for the tiny tots of Class Playgroup starting from their memorizing knowledge and skills of English Rhymes ,they all participated and recited unique and beautiful action rhymes with expressions .Rhymes are an important teaching aid for the children of pre-primary classes .Hence, it is a quite learning experience for them to have Recitation Competition to upgrade their sprit of better understanding and memory. They enjoyed recitation and everybody was cheering them. Tearing and Pasting Competition was organized for Class Prep,the students participated in the competition very actively and enthusiastically and had lots of fun during the Competition. Collage Making Competition was conducted for Class I, children showed their imagination to its extreme. Class II students participated in English Handwriting competition. Children excelled their writing skills and presented their handwriting very neatly and well. They were enthusiastic that they will be awarded for the competition. This inculcates the zeal to improve their hand writing .Mask Making Competition was organized for Class III and V, the children participated whole heartedly, by using different medias and materials. They transformed their imagination into creative masks elegantly into funny faces. Wall Hanging Competition was conducted for Class IV, children with their full esteem and enthrall participated to their fullest. They used different innovative ideas to make their wall hangings like CD’s ,papers, wires and other waste materials from their home quite deliberately, working on the scientific principles of Best out of Waste. The classrooms were looking like a workshop of ART ATTACK. These kinds of creative activities will always work on to flourish and appreciate the inner desires of the children and definitely assist them in nourishing their future endeavours.

In order to enhance the inner qualities of our children, Intra Class Competition i.e. School Magazine Cover Making was held on 18-1-12 .Students from classes IV to VI participated with full esteem and enthrall along with their imaginativeness. They not only showed their interest in the Competition but also draw their ideas and creativity on a sheet of paper with beautiful colours .Using their mind’s depth and creativity they presented beautiful school magazine covers for the coming session. The best creativity and imagination received the First, Second and Third positions in the class.

The Report of Intra-Class Competitions held on 24th December 2011 Caroling, feasting and gift giving are the main ingredients of a perfect Christmas celebration. Festive air pervades everywhere, with full gusto and enthusiasm. Children of Class III and IV participated in the Christmas Bell making competition.
With the spirit of exploring creativity skills and imagination children made beautiful bells using various decorative items. They used their abilities and interest to its maximum and employed various methodologies to make their bells the most beautiful one.

On 21 st of December Flat Race for class Prep students was organized in D.P.S Civil lines Aligarh. It was a bright sunny day. Students of class Prep were very excited. All students took part very actively in race that was organized by the Sports teacher. 29 students of class Prep A and 27 students of class Prep B took part in the event.

Intra Class Quiz Competition

Date 22.12.2011
Intra Class Quiz Competition was conducted on December 21, 2011 in D.P.S Civil lines. Class 5 participated in the Quiz. There were four participants from each section. There were four rounds – Check ability round, Rapid fire round, Buzzer round and Visual round. The students participated with zeal and enthusiasm. Section B was the winner with a score of 11 points, Section – A scored 10 points and stood second where as Section – C was at 3 rd place scoring 4 points. It was both learning and entertaining experience for the students. It inculcated a feeling of oneness as they were participating on behalf of their class. |

Show and Tell Competition
Class – I-II
Intra class Competition was organized for class I and II on December 21 and 22, 2011. Besides the weather condition and the ongoing FA3 revisions, children took part very enthusiastically.It was Show and Tell competition.The purpose of this competition is how children perceive things around and describe them. It also inculcated manners and etiquette to present themselves in public.
Not only that competitions always enthuse positive spirit in them. |

Intra Class Quiz Competition

Date 22.12.2011
Intra class Quiz was conducted for Class VI. As it was the competition the students of both the sections participated. There were all together four rounds. Each round consists of 8 questions except for rapid fire round.
Rapid fire round consisted of 10 questions. The students participated with their fullest. The audience also played their role by clapping and cheering. Class VI – B emerged as a winner team. |

The Report of Intra-Class Competitions held on 17thNovember 2011
As a part of the monthly Intra-class competitions hopping race the field event was organized for class I. All students took part with great enthusiasm. They all had fun when their feet were tied up and they have to reach the finish line. All the sections participated in this event. These competitions inculcate the spirit of sportsmanship among them. Class II students participated in creative writing competition.
Children excelled their writing skills and presented their handwriting very neatly and well. They were enthusiastic that they will be awarded for the competition. This inculcates the zeal to improve their hand writing. Extempore competition was organized for class V.
Student expressed their thoughts in a very nice manner on the topic “If I were a billionaire” and “Importance of special assemblies in our school”.

The Report of Intra-Class Competitions held on 19th October 2011
Students of Playgroup, Nursery and Prep took part in Fancy dress competition. Students came in colourful and bright dresses. There were variety of costumes to be seen. The students were excited to see themselves and their friends in different dresses with props. Class I students participated in Hindi handwriting. About 90% of the students participated in the competition. Children wrote very neatly and well. They were enthusiastic that they will be awarded for the competition. This will inculcate a sense of competition as well as zeal to improve their handwriting. Class II students participated in Collage mixed media, children made very good and colourful collage with different materials .By using different materials children showed their creativity. Diya decoration competition, as Diwali is near was held for class III & IV students. They decorated the earthen diyas and enjoyed the task given to them by beautiful paints, glitters, stars and various other decorative items. The diya’s looked beautiful and glittering ready for the ocassion.Class V students participated in Wind Chime making. The judges and audience witnessed some very beautiful wind chimes made by the enthusiastic students of classV.Finally, Best out of waste competition was held for class VI students. They showed their creativity and innovative ideas in making different things out of waste materials. This gave us a message that nothing can be called as waste. If we have the ability and skill we can create best out of waste.

The Report of Intra-Class Competitions held in the month of September
An Intraclass competition is a part of Curriculum which helps to motivate and upgrade a child’s capabilities, hobbies and morale. Competitions held every month and students from various classes participated and showed their creativity and hidden talents.
There was 100% participation of students from each class. Clay Modeling Competition was organized for classes Playgroup, Nur and Prep on 3.9.11 in which our tiny tots gave beautiful presentations and make different objects and We had Clay modeling Competition for classes I and II also on 28.9.11 and children shaped their beautiful ideas and models.
We had Book Mark Making Competition on 28.9.11 in which children expressed their imagination in making Book Marks. Which was so praise worthy and it was difficult to judge the winners.

The Report of Intra-Class Competitions held in the month of October
Different Intra-class Competitions were held in the month of October. All the students participated with zeal and enthusiasm. Class Playgroup did colouring in diyas.Our tiny tots showed their creativity by colouring the diyas with beautiful,vibrant colours.Students of class Nursery participated in Show and Tell Competition.They showed different objects and gave a description about it.Classes I and II enacted different characters.They were wearing different colourful costumes.Students were looking very beautiful in different types of costumes.They were very much engrossed in their character, this showed their interest and eagerness for the competition.Classes III and IV showed their creativity in Hindi handwriting competition.Class V was given chance to show their creativity in creative writing competition as topic was given to them and they wrote on the topic
