DELHI PUBLIC SCHOOL CIVIL LINES ALIGARH - (Ambedkar Jayanti)
Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, father of Indian constitution was born on 14th April 1891and this day we celebrate as Ambedkar Jayanti every year. Our school held a special assembly on this occasion.
The assembly was well conducted and compared by Avni Agarwal and Laiba Hashmi of class VI B.As inspiring speech was presented on the beneficence of Dr. Ambedkar by Khushi Pathak followed by a delightful poem by Shayak Bhadraray to glorify and commemorate his contributions to our Nation. Also the daily assembly quiz was held on the same theme in which students enthusiastically   participated as another step towards understanding the value of those who served the nation.

At the end Senior Mistress Ma’am addresses the students with more enhancing wards.

Delhi Public School Civil Lines celebrated Basant Panchami with lighting of lamp and worship of Goddess Saraswati who is the Goddess of knowledge, music and art followed by a wonderful dance performance on Saraswati Vandana. The students of class II C presented a beautiful rhyme on Basant- the season of flowers. Asad of class VI A delivered a speech to tell the significance of Basant Panchami. Little ones of class Playgroup, Nursery and Prep. made beautiful yellow flowers and celebrated the day.

Report of Special Assembly held - On “Republic Day” - 2011-12
To enrich the spirit of patriotism, special assembly on Republic Day was held on January  25, 2012 .
The assembly was conducted by Deputy Head Boy Shubh  Singhal. It was commemorated by an inspiring thought by Ananya Gaur of class III-C. The assembly was proceeded by News followed by Patriotic song with the wordings “Bharat Mata ke Charno me Hum Sub Shish Jhukate Hain” by the students of class III and IV. The dance performance was presented by class IV C on the song “Pray for India…” Deputy Head Girl Laiba Hashmi tested the knowledge of the children regarding our Nation. A mesmerizing poem titled “Aao Gantantra Diwas Manaye…” was presented by Head Boy Neelesh Bhushan Pandey and the Head Girl Prachi Agarwal conveyed the significance of this national festival to enhance the feeling of “Unity in Diversity”. The children learnt the lesson of patriotism and being together as the product of their own country “INDIA”.
 
"Dusshera, Durga Puja and Gandhi Jayanti" Septemper-2011
D.P.S.  Civil Lines conducted special assembly on Dusshera Durga Puja and Gandhi Jayanti with great pomp and show.  Rania (V-A) and Avni Agarwal (V-B)  conducted  the  assembly  in English   and  Hindi respectively .The assembly started with  “Shloka” by Monkesh Singh of class III-B,  thought by   Leesha Kashyap  of class  IV-C  and news was given by  Md.Emad  Khan of class IV -B.  Neelesh Pandey  of class VI-B presented the speech on Dusshera and Durga Puja.  Small presentation by students of class Prep on Gandhi Jayanti  (Quit India movement) , Gantavya  of class I-B  presented a poem on account of “Gandhi Jayanti”. Bhajan   “Vaishnava Jan”   and Dance drama “ Om Shakti” were also performed by the students of class III, IV,  V and  VI.  At the end  Senior Mistress ma`am conveyed  students the significance of  Dusshera, Durga Puja and Gandhi Jayanti.  Principal Dr. (Mrs) Shubha Narayan and Pro- Vice Chairman Mr.Swapnil Jain  conveyed their wishes for Durga Puja and Dusshera.
     
     
   
 
Teacher`s Day

The day started with the morning assembly conducted by the  teachers  on the special  occasion of Teacher`s Day.  The Head Girl  Prachi Agarwal got the opportunity to conduct the prayer song.

On the auspicious occasion of  Teacher`s Day, children presented different programmes, by which better relationships were established between children and the teachers.

On this special occasion , special assembly was organized by the Head Boy  Neelesh Bhushan Pandey and Head Girl Prachi Agarwal and they gave their wishes to  all the teachers from the students`s council.

The programme commenced by the beautiful  poem by Ankita Garg  and a song by class VI  students. Class V  students presented a  beautiful dance performance and class VI boys presented a sizzling western dance . Most attractive part was the skating performance by class VI. Class IV  student Maryam Ahmad  presented a  Melodious music played on Guitar. The programme was conducted by Ranita Ranjan and Shubh Singhal.

 Senior Mistress mam encouraged children for their  contribution. Our  P.V.C  Mr. Swapnil Jain and  Principal Dr.(Mrs) Shubha Narayan gave heartiest wishes on this special occasion of teacher`s day to all the teachers.

     
 
 
“Raksha Bandhan” 2011-12
The caste bond of love between a brother and a sister that symbolizes “Raksha Bandhan” was celebrated on 10th August 2011 with great zeal and enthusiasm.
The programme started with a sacred shlok of Sanskrit presented by “Ananya Gaur” of class III featuring the importance of Sanskrit Diwas. A beautiful speech in Sanskrit was given by Prachi Agarwal of class VI which was really appreciable. A beautiful poem on  Raksha Bandhan written by our Hon’ble Ex President Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam was presented by Shayak Bhadraray of class V and a mind refreshing speech was presented by Saumya Singh of class V which really emphasized the relevance of this divine festival. Beautiful dance was presented  by our tiny tots made it a heart touching act and all these chapters compiled in a special assembly towards success.
     
     
 
 
“Janmashtmi” 2011-12
The festival of Janmashtmi was celebrated with great rejoice and devotion. The assembly was conducted by Kanza Zafar of class VI. In starting she narrated the story of Lord Krishna. Ananya Gaur of class III presented thought of the day and enlighted “The Geeta Saar”. She reminded us the truth of life that “Change is the law of the universe”.
After that Saksham of class 5 asked interesting questions related to Lord Krishna and made the environment informative and knowledgeable.
Asad Wali of class VI came to give news updates. To make the atmosphere religious and pious, the students of class IV sang a melodious Bhajan “Kala Kanahiya”. With this Bhajan, the whole atmosphere became pleasant and relaxed. Students of Nursery performed a very beautiful dance.
At the end of this special assembly, the tiny tots of Play group displayed soothing Jhankis of Radha-Krishna,Makhan Chor and Raasleela.
     
     
 
 
HEALTH DAY, APRIL 7, 2011

In the changing scenario, informing the students about the worldwide celebrations and happenings has become an integral part of school life. They help students to have an opinion and develop a better outlook because today’s better informed students grow up to be tomorrow’s better informed adults. On Thursday 7th April 2011, a special assembly was conducted to celebrate World Health Day. It was commenced with a very beautiful thought ‘He who has health has hope, He who has hope has everything.’ The theme of the World Health Day 2011-‘Antimicrobial Resistance’ was the highlight of the assembly. The tiny tots presented a beautiful rhyme on the importance of healthy food. The students danced in the foot tapping music of the song- ‘Say no to junk food’. Vice-Principal, Ms. G. Mala encouraged the students to eat healthy food and develop healthy habits.

 
Republic Day
Republic day was celebrated in Delhi Public Civil Lines Aligarh on 25th January. It was a joyous occasion to celebrate the formation of Republic.

Impressive colourful program was performed by the children. The assembly started with an inspiring thought. Shubh Singhal of class IV gave an inspirational speech to strive forward. A poem was recited on patriotism by Devang of class Nursery. Little angles of class Prep recited Raghupati Raghav. The assembly was conducted by Fatima Saleem of class V.
