HIGH SPIRITS IN NOETIC STUDENTS
Delhi Public School, Senior Wing, a special workshop on “Nano Technology in present time” was conducted. In this workshop, Shri. Prashant Kumar Pal, Senior lecturer in Mangalayatan University, threw light on important and utility of nanotechnology. In this workshop, the students from class VI to XI participated. The subject experts removed the doubts of students admired the knowledge they gained on such a unique and latest subject as nanotechnology.
Suhani  Sangar of class XI welcomed Shri Prashant Kaumar Pal and Hazik Zameel of class IX expressed a vote of thanks.
Dr. (Mrs.) Shubha Narayan said that Noetic project is a unique effort to facilitate the students to deal with the fast changing conditions of modern times, a new direction will be given to the latest talents of the students, so that the students may touch the heights of glory in various fields. The project Noetic has been taken by the team of experts in the respective disciplines under the dynamic intellectual stewardship of Dr. (Mrs.) Shubha Narayan, Principal, DPS Aligarh.

The project Noetic is to set that the chosen ‘Super – 20’ will surely give a result in competition and will prove themselves at International and National level as responsible citizens to the world at large.
     
   
 
A MEETING IN DPS FOR CTET
Delhi Public School, Senior Wing, The Goddess of knowledge worshipped on the auspicious occasion of Vasant Panchami. After that, a meeting was organized for CTET to be held on January 29, 2012. Dr. (Mrs.) Shubha Narayan, the coordinator of CTET in Aligarh, told that the Examination will be held on 17 centres in the city. This exam is going to be conducted for the first time in Aligarh. All the centre superintendents and invigilators will try their best for the smooth conduct of the examination. This examination is going to be conducted in two shifts: the first shift for the Primary standard and the second will be for middle standard.

REPORT ON NATIONAL CYBER OLYMPIAD

 It’s a great privilege and honour that two of our students  Abhay Singh Rana of class III and Prakhar Agrawal of class IV  have bagged 1st  school rank in our DPS in their respective classes in National Cyber Olympiad 2011 and both have qualified for second level exam. We extend our heartiest congratulations to both of them.

     
CHRISTMAS DAY  
The charm of Christmas became ten fold when it was celebrated in its own unique way in DPS Civil Lines, Junior Wing and Senior Wing. On this occasion Principal, Dr. (Mrs.) Shubha Narayan and Vice Principal Mr. Chandrashekhar lighted candle and offered flowers praying before the picture of Christ was born by a silent night song. Through a short drama, light was thrown on the miracles and wonders performed by Christ. Santa Claus dropped in the gifts for children. Students highlighted the valuable, unique and peaceful messages of Christ. Jingle bells dance by students was really mind-ravishing.
     
 
     
 
 
DPS, ALIGARH” ORGANISES THE GRAND EVENT OF “SAMAGAM”

A grand cultural programme, on the theme “SAMAGAM,” on Monday, Dec.12, 2011, was gloriously organized by DPS Aligarh, along with all its three wings, at senior wing, adjacent to Magalayatan Dhaam, Agra road, Aligarh. The chief guest for the event was, our esteemed administrator and well known educationist, honorable Sri Ashok Chandra (Ex. I.A.S.) Chairman, Delhi Public School Society, Delhi and the special guest was Dr. Mrs.Sharda Nayak, the chairperson of DPS Aligarh
The Head boy of the school Raunak Bhatia, along with Head Girl  Ashima Singhal presented bouquet to make a warm welcome to Sri Ashok Chandra, the chief guest and Dr. Mrs. Sharda Naik, the special guest, by following the conventional way of welcoming. The programme was set in motion at 5.00pm after the auspicious lamp lightening by chief guest Sri Ashok Chandra, Dr. Mrs. Sharda Naik,Pro Vice Chairman Sri Swapnil Jain, Principal Dr. Mrs.Shubha Narayan and Vice Principal Mr. Chandra Shekhar respectively before the goddess of knowledge Maa Saraswati. The most important and mesmerising fact is, that the programme was staged by over 3000 participants on a 3600 square feet hydraulic stage on its glorious theme ‘Contribution of Female Strength to the History and glory of our Mother India’ showcasing from evolution to revolution of Indian culture, virtues, heritage and technology with an incredible blend of various religious sentiments and social issues  by an introduction,  scientifically fictitious appearance of aliens on mother earth in search of best human qualities. Around 6000 guests witnessed the grand occurrence at DPS. Glimpses of Indian ‘female-milestones’, from yesteryears to contemporary, was showcased to elite gathering, naming: mother like qualities in Yashoda, bravery and will power, Razia Sultaan, great, affectionate and universal Mother Teresa, strong determination of great dancer, Sudha Chandran and of high spirits to reach to the stars by Kalpana Chawla, of great sacrifice by Panna Dhai, of great zeal to serve people in many more.
 The programme also consisted of a well actuated event, based on ‘Save Girl Child & Save Nature’ by ‘Nanhi Chhaon’, run by our own Delhi Public School, a programme under the aegis of DPS Society of which our school, is an integral part. The audiences were mesmerized on seeing the glimpses of great personalities of India, like Ashoka The Great, Laxmi Bai, Lord Buddha, Mahavir Swami, Teepu Sultan, Prithvi raj Chauhan,Vivekanand,Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam and and so,  related to its past and the contemporary, on huge hydraulic stage prepared by “Innovative Ideas Pvt. LTD”. 

Pro vice chairman of DPS Aligarh, Sri Swapnil Jain, in his speech, said that the records, which have been established in the aspect of learning and imbibing,art and craft, games and sports, since 13 years, are the fruits of the blessings of people of the DPS fraternity along with guardians. He also said that the DPS fraternity would try its level best to make the school DPS Aligarh as a role model among 160 units of DPS, blotted all over the world and students would learn the high moral values and ideologies in a philosophical way, in the eternal process of all round development.
     
     
     
 
 
 

DPS KI NANHI CHHAAN

 
‘NANHI CHHAAN’ is a Delhi Public School Society initiative in collaboration with doctors and leading hospitals of the country and DPS Aligarh is an active partner school to support the campaign, it was nationally launched on the 29th of July 2011 at DPS International Saket, New Delhi.
 The focus of this campaign was on empowerment of girl child, nurturing trees and promoting harmony through the ideals of secularism, through multi-dimensional school based activities and also to bring about equality in gender.
This grand initiative includes three dimensional activities so that students get an opportunity to participate and showcase their collective efforts, talents and creativity in various areas with the following themes -
‘Reverence for life leads to sustainable life styles’
‘Sapling plantation and nurturing green areas’
‘School cleanliness drive’
 ‘School waste management’
‘Profiles of empowered women’
‘Developing school herbal corner’
Documentary films on ‘the life of waste pickers’
The various activities were organized as an intra school and inter DPS events through workshops, environment festivals, seminars and discussion forums as well as discourses by eminent resource persons.
     
     
 
 
FACILIATION CENTER FOR AIEEE 2012  
DPS Aligarh became a facilitation center for the All India Engineering/ Architecture Entrance Examination 2012. It helps the students to fill the online form for AIEEE 2012.
   
 
 
DPS ALIGARH WON NORTH ZONE III INTER DPS CRICKET TOURNAMENT (BOYS)
Inter DPS cricket tournament for boys was organized by DPS Moradabad. In which eight DPS of North Zone III has participated. The tournament started on 2nd November 2011 and ended on 4th November 2011. DPS Aligarh won the tournament by beating DPS Ranipur in the final match by 8 wickets. Rinku Kumar of DPS Aligarh is awarded as a player of the Tournament & Man of the Match of Final.

Brief introduction of DPS Aligarh matches:

             1st match won by 6 wickets against DPS Moradabad
             2nd match Won by 5 wickets against DPS Bareilly
             Semi Final Match Won by 8 Wickets against DPS Meerut.

ALUMNI MEET

Delhi Public School, Senior Wing, first Alunmi Meet was organized gracefully and with high spirits. The former students were welcomed by the Principal Dr. (Mrs.) Shubha Narayan, the Vice-Principal Mr.Chandra Shekhar Sharma, the Head boy and the Head girl. ‘Chick Dance’ was presented by the students of Junior Wing, Agra Road. The Play Group students  of Civil Lines gave a glimpse of their talent with a wonderful presentation of Bhangra dance. There was a mind blowing presentation of dance by D.P.S. students. Soudharma  Jain and Naina Chawla were declared the best Alumni of 2011.The Pro- vice Chairman, Mr. Swapnil Jain honoured the District Topper of class XII , Shimona Agrawal by giving her a cheque of Rs 50,000.

   
 
 

SEMINAR ON AERONAUTICAL ENGINEERING IN DPS

 

Delhi Public school ,Aligarh ,Senior Wing,A seminar on Aeronoautical Engineering was conducted for class XII students The chief Guest in seminar were Mrs. Andria Sherni  ,The Director of boing company and Mr.Vein Carnahan ,aircraft Designer of boing company .After welcome by the principal ,Dr. Mrs. Shubha Narayan ,the program started with lightening the lamp before Maa Sarsavati .Mrs.Andria Sherni threw light on various branches of engineering .various ways to save fuel in a plane were explained .She shared her experience as a scientist with students .Mrs. Andria Sherni suggested to the student not to waste your time in watching t.v. but they should learn form experienced persons the head boy and head girl honoured the chief guest with moments and painting .Avote of thanks was expressed by the Principal Mrs.Shubha Narayan.

   
 
 
INTER DPS BASKET BALL TOURNMENT 2011

DPS Aliagrh has organized INTER DPS BASKETBALL TOURNMENT from 13th of October 2011 to 15th of October 2011. In this tournament DPS AGRA, ALIGARH , MEERUT and RANIPUR (HARIDWAR) has participated. DPS Ranipur won the tournament and DPS Agra was the first runner up.

 
 
WORKSHOP FOR CAREER COUNSELING

Career counseling workshop was conducted for class X students. Expert in career counseling, Mr. A Motilal and his colleagues gave various tips to board students to memorize important points of syllabus. Students were taught to lead a respectable life in society. The Principal,  Dr. (Mrs.) Shubha Narayan motivated the students to make up their mind for a bright future. The school is always prepared for the betterment of students.

 
 
SEBI WORKSHOP IN DPS

A special workshop was conducted by Stock Exchange Board of India for students. Mr. Kishore Kumar from SEBI, threw light on Financial Education and Management. He explained the principle of Stock exchange. Trading company and Financial Management students participated enthusiastically. The Principal, Dr. (Mrs.) Shubha Narayan said that to be aware of financial system is very essential in student’s life.

 
 
CCE WORKSHOP FOR PARENTS OF CLASS X  

A special workshop was conducted by DPS in which light was thrown on various aspects and methods of Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation. The Principal, Dr. (Mrs.) Shubha Narayan said that CCE is aimed at positive thinking, character building and co-curricular activities of a child. The Vice Principal Mr. Chandra Shekhar threw light on the value of Board Examination and Home Examination. In this workshop, parents participated with high spirits. One of the parents, Mrs. Seema Jain said that CCE is favourable and suitable to the students. Mr. Kuldeep Sharma added that their doubts are removed in this workshop Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation has a wide range and positive aspect.

 
 
JUNIOR SCIENTISTS-GETTING CHARGED-----!  

The children of class VI A and B prepared electricity circuits using their own imagination under the guidance of science teacher. The whole class contributed in the preparation of model, even the weak students of our class have shown lot of interest in performing the activity.

The whole class enjoyed and enhanced their knowledge through this class activity in science lab of our school.
 
 
DURGA POOJA AND VIJAY DASHMI  

Durga and Vijay Dashmi was celebrated with high spirits. The Principal and the Vice-Principal offered garlands and flowers on the picture of Maa Durga. On the occasion of Durga pooja, the students presented a wonderful dance with song ‘Maa Ambe Jagdambe’. The Principal, Dr. (Mrs.) Subha Narayan expressed best wishes on the occasion and said that the real achievement of India is the victory of truth over evil. The Vijay Dashmi is to root out all the evils from our society. The Pro-Vice chairman, Mr. Swapnil Jain expressed his heartiest best wishes on the occasion and said that we can touch the heights of glory and success by having the path of truth and goodness.

 
 
GANDHI JAYANTI  

A special assembly was conducted on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti. A group song – “Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram” was presented excellently the students gave unique expression to “Maa Khadi Ki Chadar de do…”. Mahatma Gandhi was a priest of non-violence. First of all the students council of Delhi Public school had a rally in Aligarh in favour of Anna Hazare. Flowers were offered on the pictures of Bapu and Lal Bahadur Shastri. Vice-Principal, Mr. Chandra Shekhar said that the messages of Mahatma Gandhi are still inspirational. The Principal, Dr. (Mrs.) Shubha Narayan said we should always follow the right and avoid the wrong. The PVC, Mr. Swapnil Jain expressed his best wishes on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti.

HINDI WEEK  
DSP Aligarh is celebrating Hindi week with great zeal and enthusiasm. Students are preparing poems, songs, speeches and dramas in Hindi language. Many competitions are organising in school campus like poem recitation competition, essay writing competition and so on. Assemblies are also organizing in Hindi.
 
 
MAGIC SHOW
Red Cross Society had organised a magic show in our school. Mr. Jay Kishan Samrath (Magician) had shown many magical tricks to the students. He also taught several tricks to the students. Red Cross Society is organising these types of shows to various institutions and whatever money collection is done by these shows will be spent on orphan children throughout the world and also on the people who are suffering from natural calamities.
 
TABLE TENNIS COMPETITION  
Table Tennis competition was held at DPS Junior Wing, Agra Road. In this competition all the four houses had been participated. In which Jhelum House ranked first , Ravi House ranked second and Ganga House ranked third. Siddharth Mishra and Ambika Kaushik from Jhelum had palyed excellent game and put thier house at first position.
 
 
SAVE ENVIRONMENT  
Students of DPS Junior wing, Agra Road had tied 'Rakhi' on trees. These small students want to tell that us that we have to protect trees as they provide all sort of thing to us. We should have to plant more and more trees to protect our environment.
 
 
TEACHER’S DAY  
DPS Aligarh celebrated Teacher’s Day with spirit and enthusiasm. The Principal, Dr. Mrs. Shubha Narayan, Head Boy and Head Girl offered flowers on the picture of Sarvapalli Shri. RadhaKrishnan. Principal said that it is only a teacher who shapes our society and gives a new direction to it. The Pro-Vice Chairman, Mr. Swapnil Jain expressed his best wishes on the occasion and said that Guru’s position is greater than God also because he shows us the right path.
 
 
EID - UL - FITR
DPS Aligarh had celebrated Eid - Ul - Fitr at all of our branches. On this festival students had performed various shows to increase the spirit of brotherhood among the students.
 
 
STUDENT COUNCIL ELECTION 2011
To highlight the democratic spirit amongst senior students, all the students from classes VII to XII were asked to cast vote on the basis of secret ballot. Students participated in election process which was initiated for the first time in DPS Aligarh Senior Wing. One new post was created this year i.e. ‘Student Proctor’ besides other posts.
 
Sanskrit  Day
Celebrations were organized by Jhelum house. The chief guest ,hon’ble  Dr.umesh Chandra Sharma ,highlighted the value of Sanskrit as the most ancient language ant the mother of other language .The principal ,Dr. Shubha Naryan said that Sanskrit is such a logical and lively language that is includes the principles of other language .Dr. Satish jain,H.O.D. Sanskrit Department ,expressed a vote of thanks of the guests.
 
 
A Glowing Honour to Munsi Premchand
A Glowing tribute was given to the greater writer ,Munsi Premchand who is also known as the emperor in the field of stories and novels the wrote about 300 stories reflecting the reality of human life .The Principal ,Dr. Mrs.Shubha Naryan said that the life of premchand is source of inspiration to all.
 
 
Raksha Bandhan –A Bond of love
This festival of togetherness end the most precious bond of brothers and sisters was celebrated with the great enthusiasm .The children celebrated it together ,showering love for each other . the Principal ,DR. Mrs Shubha Narayan said that Raksha bandhan is a symbol of our culture and civilization . The Vice principal ,Mr. Chandra shekhar said that Raksha bandhan is national Festival and wished a very Happy Raksha Bandhan to all.
 
 
15th  August ,65th Independence Day Celebrated
On the 65th Independence Day was celebrated with the great Zeal and high spirits .A Salutation given to the national Flag when it was hoisted by The principal Dr. Mrs. Shubha Narayan and the pro vice chairman, Mr.Swapnil  jain .The Students expressed their views on the occasion and teaches also highlighted india’s unity in diversity through a Patriotic song .The Pro Vice chairman ,Mr.Swapnil jain And the principal Mrs. Shubha Narayn wished a Very happy Independence Day and Expressed their Best wishes on the occasion.
 
 
Certificates to the Meritorious Students
A Special Assembly was conducted on “Ramjan Mahotsava”. The Students Expreesed the Views that Ramjan does not mean only to have a fast but it mean to be placed Keeping away from all ill feelings. On their precious occasion ,it is time to seek divine blessing. At the same time ,fine students of class 10th were awarded with excellence certificates by CBSE board Allahbad .Rajat jain ,Naynika singh ,Somesh joshi ,Kartikey dubey  and Areeb Abdurrahman of 10th board secured A1 grade in all the subject so the vice principal ,Mr. Chandra Shekhar  Sharma honored the students by giving them certificates.the  pro vice chairman ,Mr.swapnil jain  expressed best wishes for Ramjan and congratulated the shining stars of the school and wished for their bright future.
 
 
Krishna Janamasthmi Celebration
Krishna Janamashtmi was celebrated in all the three wings of DPS Aligarh. Small students had participated in this festival and shown the various activities from birth to young age of Shri Krishna in the form of short skit. Small students were dressed very nicely, they were looking so pretty. Dance was also organized of Radha and Krishna.
 
 
Workshop of Road Safety Rules was organized
SEAT Company had organized a workshop in DPS Junior Wing and Civil Lines related to road safety rules for the classes – III , IV , V and VI. In this workshop they explained the various rules to be follow by the students while moving on the road. They also told the various steps to prevent ourselves from road accidents. They shown the cartoon film to the students related to road safety.
 
 
Fight Against Corruption (Rally)
Candle March was organized by DPS Aligarh on 17-08-2011 evening. It was started from DPS City office to District Magistrate Residence for the fight against corruption going in India and also for the release of Mr. Anna Hazare from Jail. Initially only the school students and teachers started the march but as it moved forward many of the student’s parent and local citizens of Aligarh also joined this rally. People had participated in this rally with full zeal and enthusiasm.
 
 
Special Assembly was organized on Tulsi Das Jayanti
Tulsi Das Jayanti was celebrated in DPS Senior Wing. On this day students had displayed the poems and speeches Tulsi Das on the stage.
