| DURGA PUJA AND DUSSEHRA |
Durga and Vijay Dashmi was celebrated with high spirits. The Principal and the Vice-Principal offered garlands and flowers on the picture of Maa Durga. On the occasion of Durga pooja, the students presented a wonderful dance with song ‘Maa Ambe Jagdambe’. The Principal, Dr. (Mrs.) Subha Narayan expressed best wishes on the occasion and said that the real achievement of India is the victory of truth over evil. The Vijay Dashmi is to root out all the evils from our society. The Pro-Vice chairman, Mr. Swapnil Jain expressed his heartiest best wishes on the occasion and said that we can touch the heights of glory and success by having the path of truth and goodness. |

| GANDHI JAYANTI |
A special assembly was conducted on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti. A group song – “Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram” was presented excellently the students gave unique expression to “Maa Khadi Ki Chadar de do…”. Mahatma Gandhi was a priest of non-violence. First of all the students council of Delhi Public school had a rally in Aligarh in favour of Anna Hazare. Flowers were offered on the pictures of Bapu and Lal Bahadur Shastri. Vice-Principal, Mr. Chandra Shekhar said that the messages of Mahatma Gandhi are still inspirational. The Principal, Dr. (Mrs.) Shubha Narayan said we should always follow the right and avoid the wrong. The PVC, Mr. Swapnil Jain expressed his best wishes on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti. |

| Teacher’s Day (5th September 2011) |
DPS Aligarh celebrated Teacher’s Day with spirit and enthusiasm. The Principal, Dr. Mrs. Shubha Narayan, Head Boy and Head Girl offered flowers on the picture of Sarvapalli Shri. RadhaKrishnan. Principal said that it is only a teacher who shapes our society and gives a new direction to it. The Pro-Vice Chairman, Mr. Swapnil Jain expressed his best wishes on the occasion and said that Guru’s position is greater than God also because he shows us the right path. |

| Id- Ul-Fitr |
| A special assembly was organized on the occasion of Id –Ul -Fitr .This assembly was conducted with high sprits. The student took oath to do the right and avoid the wrong. A dance was presented on ‘khwaja mere khwaja’. The vice principal expressed his best wishes on Id .The Pro vice chairman Mr. Swapnil Jain and Principal Dr. Mrs. Shubha Narayan, expressed heartiest congratulation and well wishes and said that id is a festival to connect with others we should live with peace and harmony. |

| Krishna Janamasthmi Celebration (20th August 2011) |
| Krishna Janamashtmi was celebrated in all the three wings of DPS Aligarh. Small students had participated in this festival and shown the various activities from birth to young age of Shri. Krishna in the form of short skit. Small students were dressed very nicely, they were looking so pretty. Dance was also organized of Radha and Krishna. |

| On the 65th Independence Day was celebrated with the great Zeal and high spirits .A Salutation given to the national Flag when it was hoisted by The principal Dr. Mrs. Shubha Narayan and the pro vice chairman, Mr. Swapnil Jain .The Students expressed their views on the occasion and teaches also highlighted India’s unity in diversity through a Patriotic song .The Pro Vice chairman ,Mr. Swapnil Jain And the principal Mrs. Shubha Narayan wished a Very happy Independence Day and Expressed their Best wishes on the occasion. |

| Raksha Bandhan –A Bond of love (11th August 2011) |
This festival of togetherness end the most precious bond of brothers and sisters was celebrated with the great enthusiasm .The children celebrated it together ,showering love for each other . the Principal,DR. Mrs. Shubha Narayan said that Raksha bandhan is a symbol of our culture and civilization . The Vice principal ,Mr. Chandra shekhar said that Raksha bandhan is national Festival and wished a very Happy Raksha Bandhan to all. |

| The Excellent Language- Sanskrit (August 10, 2011) |
| Celebrations were organized by Jhelum house. The chief guest ,hon’ble Dr.umesh Chandra Sharma , highlighted the value of Sanskrit as the most ancient language ant the mother of other language .The principal , Dr. Shubha Naryan said that Sanskrit is such a logical and lively language that is includes the principles of other language .Dr. Satish jain, H.O.D.
